Brag blog
The Sugden's don't brag but the Bakkevig's do, and even though I've been a Sugden for nearly 15 years, I've been a Bakkevig a lot longer, so..... this is my brag post. Since last November I have been faithfully keeping track of every penny spent on household things (food, cleaning, diapers, personal hygeine, etc.) Last week I was asked to teach a homemaking class at church on couponing, so I tallied everything up.
November: $221.13
December: $189.84
January: $134.31
February: $129.79
March: $148.79
April: $87.06
I was particularly amazed that in April I only spent $87.06 for an entire month for 8 people, which averages out to $2.51 per person, per week.
The above picture is from a trip to Target this morning. I spent $4.29 and got a $5 gift card back. If anyone is near a Target (Kendra?) I can tell you how to replicate it.
8 boxes of 4-pack yogurt
5 pounds of apples
5 bags of Chex Mix
5 chocolate bars (we ate one on the way home)

Hey Cecilie, this is Doug and Lisa's daughter. My mom sent me your link awhile back. Your deals continue to amaze me. I got a couple boxes of free pasta last night and a toothpaste, but I definitely have not managed to get as much free stuff as you! How did you swing this deal? Was it a combination of sale items, Target coupons, and manufacturer coupons?

The thing that sucks about our Target is that it's NOT a Super Target. Therefore, they don't have much as far as food goes. Just the basics like cereal and snacks. It has discouraged me a little from doing coupon shopping there.
