Here is a picture of my "Big Bathroom Idea" work outfit. As you can see it has many layers of mortar, adhesive, grout and paint. The end is finally in sight. I grouted the tiles Saturday and all I have left is to connect the drain on the tub and put in the sink, toilet, mirror and trim. This has certainly been quite the project. I have learned much along the way and better understand why my neighbor who does this sort of thing for a living was so adamant about getting the walls flush and plumb and the floor perfectly level. It sure saves you time on the finishing. Even though I was fairly religious about doing good prep work, I think that I would be even more religious the next time. It is really looking good at this point and I can say that it has been worth all the time and effort.
