Rohan's Roost

Rohan is a derivative of the Gaelic Rowan and means "little red one." It is also the Norse word for the Rowan tree, which is known for its red leaves and berries. When Cecilie was pregnant with Rohan she was convinced she was having a girl and did not consider any boy names. A few days before he was born she was browsing though a baby name book and came across Rohan, which meant red. She decided that in the unlikely event the baby was both a boy and a red-head that Rohan would be his name.

Rank Advancement

Recently, Rohan achieved theĀ Tenderfoot Rank in Scouting.

During the ceremony Rohan was awarded twelve merit badges:
It took a great deal of work on Rohan's part to complete these merit badges. Rohan completed all of these on his own accord without any nudges from mom and dad. Mom did help him do some of the work for the Horsemanship badge since she grew up with horses and could teach Rohan all about them. As an added bonus I sat down with Rohan and he had this to say about the work he has done in Scouting.
