Last week the third grade students celebrated ethnic day at the school. Rohan had to do a report on his heritage which included an interview of a relative who had immigrated to the United States. Once again, his Canadian heritage was pushed to the side in favor of his Norwegian heritage. At one point he was considering Canada, but his teacher persuaded him to do his report on Norway. It is no wonder that Canadians have small dog syndrome (no offense intended toward small dogs). Family members were invited to the celebration. Cecilie and the girls contributed to the festive mood by wearing their traditional Norwegian garb. They looked great. Unfortunately for Rohan there were not any boys in the Bakkevig family so there was not an outfit for him to wear.
